Youth Endowment Fund - Children's Services

We were commissioned by the Youth Endowment Fund to produce a series of talking heads films to accompany the launch of their Children’s Services Practice Guidance — a landmark report making recommendations to improve how children’s services and wider safeguarding partnerships protect young people from extra-familial harm and serious violence. Filmed at the YEF’s London office, the series features Professor Carlene Firmin MBE, Director of the Global Centre for Contextual Safeguarding at Durham University, alongside YEF’s Youth Advisory Board member Nio, who each speak to the guidance’s key recommendations from their own unique perspectives. The series also includes a group discussion between all three contributors, exploring what needs to change in children’s social care and what a better system could look like for young people. The films were produced as individual interview clips for the YEF website, alongside short-form cuts for social media.
